When we finally figure out that we’re Autistic, we think finding community in other Autistics will be what allows us to finally find good relationships. But sometimes, it just results in us feeling more isolated than ever.

Sometimes the advice we get creates more problems than solutions. Here are a few thoughts on some anxiety advice I heard, and on developing trust in yourself.

I tried for so long to be normal. And it drove me nuts and burned me out multiple times. It’s not only an unreachable goal, bit it turns out it’s not really the goal that I thought it was, after all.
